Wow, what a question. Many variables! How does the remote service interact with the monitoring tool?

I had to learn Java and Spring MVC at my last place of employment. Great tools to use but just like anything new, comes with a learning curve.

If you are eager to learn these technologies, then I would say go on that adventure!

Otherwise, Laravel has REST and Security baked in and if you are already familiar with PHP, you will love how easy it will be to use and get something up and running.

I would recommend reading the docs, checking out Laracasts and start building away in Laravel and enjoy!

@fideloper The tool is located behind a firewall so itself will call my RS via a RESTful API. During the established connection the tool will ask for any instructions and my toll will give them to it. We cannot call the monitoring tool directly so we have to wait until the tool will call my service.

@michaeldeol thx. I will definitely do that and give Laravel a try :)
