Can you not edit the original post and change the title and tag it that way?

You could, but the more work people need to do, the less likely they are to do it. If the thread owner can just click a link to close it, that would probably get used more, and keep things cleaner.

Defo agree, solved would be good, especially when that thread is referenced in similar threads
