With Virtual Box (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_4_1):

Download and Install the software Get a vagrant box from bitnami if you want(i used vagrant box but they are not all fullstack and the one for laravel is homestead so bitnami may be better): https://bitnami.com/stack/lamp/installer

Download and Extract anywhere (i put mine in Documents)

Go to Virtual Box create a new box (here adjust your memory and harddrive space info).

Select "Use an existing virtual hard drive file" when that page comes up

Then direct to the directory you created and select the file ending in .vmdk

Select "bridged adapter" this will share whatever network driver you have already set up on your computer

Select create once you are happy with everything and you should have a set up virtual drive.

If i am not mistaken a window should pop up with the virtual computer showing. You can also ssh into the drive from your terminal but I only know how to do that with vagrant sorry. Above steps should work though, same steps I took. Hope it helps.
