Backpack for Laravel is now in public beta. Its philosophy is to provide the building blocks for you to build your admin panel, each functionality as a separate package. Basically, it's a Laravel version of Grocery CRUD + the great free AdminLTE theme + some extra packages you often need (log management, backups, lang file management, settings, news, menus) that you can combine to create an awesome admin panel.
It's my first attempt at a mass market open-source project, so I'm very eager to understand:
is admin panel building an itch for many developers or just me?
is the documentation good enough or at least on the right track?
is the positioning on the "easy-to-customize -> full-featured axis" good enough? because this is what I don't like in most alternatives - that they're way to difficult to customize;
is the installation process too difficult? is a command-line wizard necessary or not really?
what should I do to promote these packages and gather more feedback?
Thank you!
