I think you need to take a step back you can't run before you can walk so to speak!
try - http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp and go through everything PHP related. I think that's your first port of call, also learn HTML and CSS if you haven't already, then once you grasp this you should be in a better position to start learning Laravel.
