Too much is changing in L5 dev right now to even know. What you're after will probably work after the final release hits.
If you really wanted to try, I'd download the latest and copy the ones you want, of course backup first. That way you know vender isn't touched. I'd wait for the actual release.

simply in composer.json in require laravel simply replace 5.0 to 5.1 and start updating ur composer again
