I think the most important and easy way to do that is talk with other people. (I know it sounds easy but it isn't always easy)
You can just try to talk with other people, start with questions about the presentations you just visited or there impression of the conference.
The previous years I see a lot of people alone. So you are not the only one who is looking for people to talk / connect :)
If you see an interesting topic in an unconference talk, go there. Most of the time there are less people then in the official talks and it feels less formal. This can lower the barrier to talk with other people.
