Hey accessdev, I can recommend "mike182uk/paypal-ipn-listener": "dev-master" as I have used this since Christmas on a live ecommerce site with no problems. Also very easy to implement...

PayumLaravelPackage supports Paypal IPN out of the box, with even some additional security checks. Just setup the package, configure it and use, it'll do the rest.
