Seems like it may actually be a temporary issue according to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30107556/trouble-installing-phonegap-no-compatible-version-found-jsonstream-1-0-3
Just annoying that I've been working trying different node versions for the past 2 hours for this :(
Looks like it's due to jsonstream and JSONstream packages in the repository. https://github.com/dominictarr/JSONStream/issues/68
