Hey,
I'm giving a talk soon on my development environment and the benefits of using Vagrant/VirtualBox for developing instead of something like MAMP or WAMP.
The people I'm giving the talk to can be quite "anti-change" and prefer to just leave things the way they are. I read about mcrypt being a nightmare to install on MAMP which makes setting up Laravel on MAMP quite difficult. That seems like a pretty good/important point to make to my audience.
Are there any other Laravel specific reasons for using Vagrant over MAMP? I've got other points to make on Vagrant vs MAMP in general but I like the idea of bringing it back to a popular framework I know they have heard of.
Is this link gonna help your curiousity about why Vagrant instead of MAMP ?
