Thanks for your reply, I hadn't see that tweet. Extremely unfortunate, AWS is the reason I was paying for Forge :(.

You can still use Forge with AWS. All you need to do is follow the instructions to use a custom VPS (Ubuntu 14.04 x64 with a root user): https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ms28k3clgvxokg/Screenshot%202014-07-15%2010.38.03.png

I think the issue was more with the whole AWS control panel which is, admittedly, an absolute mess. I haven't tried it yet but Taylor did say it should work.
