Hi.
Check out a new library for data filtering in Laravel 4.
It applies named scopes according to URL query and your configuration.
It is tested with Laravel 4 but can be used with other frameworks as well.
Scope Applicator will fit your project better if you use repositories instead of direct model requests in controllers.
Any help is appreciated, especially with documentation, because I am not a native English speaker.
