Hi,
I'm pretty new to laravel and was looking at similar things with the thread. My understand is that typically you would have an create event fire that would be picked up by the listener. The authors have chosen to make the dependency more explicit by injecting the listener into the controller, which doesn't seem wrong but doesn't also seem to be using the event-listener combination.
