Can you ssh in? Does it mount your project properly? I am not sure you can use tilde here.

well if I mount in I can access the project without any problems

Well that was my guess anyway - that it is mounted wrong. Obviously the web server cannot find the files in the VM. But if you can ssh in and it's in the right place then I don't know. Maybe the hhvm config.

Solution

I found a solution:

I downgraded to homestead 2.0.6. Now it works fine :)
