I'm working for a consulting company. Contracts are made with fairly detailed requirements, a price and deadline are then put on the entire statement of work. Then, we do our best to meet the deadline. We do implement some agile type practices, but I think estimating the project's entire cost and completion date up front is not ideal.
For those that have experience making contracts with customers, how are your contracts done? [https://www.agilesoftwaredevelopment.com/posts/10-agile-contracts/](I found this). He seems to be coming from a freelancer type of perspective. I'm wondering what consultancies typically do, especially with enterprise clients.
