I rewrote the backend of a lot of the forum stuff and there's obviously still some love needed. I'll get this resolved here shortly. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Ok, there was definitely a bug on thread creation and I fixed it. I am going to look into the other aspects as soon as my kids go to bed.
