This is one thing I do not like.. even from L3 to L4 I heard there were some major changes, and now even more changes.. :s
There are currently no public plans for LTS releases. An external company could offer LTS support if they were interested independently of Laravel, but no one has stepped up to the plate. I'd highly recommend choosing Symfony if you want LTS support with a PHP framework.
