You can use Sentry 2 with permissions and groups. In addition, should be use Route::filter() to check request before access to route. See document: http://laravel.com/docs/routing#route-filters

You can also use several other ACL package other than sentry such as Entrust, DrawBridge, Vivify depending on your needs.
