Hi. In Laravel 4.2 send became a void return method. Here is a discussion: https://github.com/laravel/framework/pull/4405 Last comment from @ashleydw - he created MailServiceProvider (https://github.com/ashleydw/mail) to return this functionality. I used his solution in my project to get mandrill send response like as you want...
