Once all the usages of classes belonging to the installed package have been removed, including aliases and service provider registration, a simlke composer remove vendor/package will do it.
All composer packages are in the vendor folder. You should never modify it yourself. The content of the folder is ignored in git, so modifications will not be visible to your coworkers.
